JACE's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

JACE's Story...
JACE (formerly Brownie) is a male dachshund mix. He is around 2 to 3 years young and about 15 pounds. He is very active outside and plays well with other dogs. When he is inside, he is a cuddle-bug and loves to lie around and snuggle. JACE has a fun personality and will fit in well with most families. He is crate trained. He has just entered our 8-10 week CAMP CANINE PROGRAM and when he's finished, he will be an AKC Good Citizen who knows basic commands (sit, stay, down) and other skills he’ll need to interact politely with humans and other dogs. JACE is fully-vetted, neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. If you would like to meet this sweet, wonderful boy, or receive more information on JACE, please give Lisanne at the Humane Society of Oldham County a call at 502-795-7151 or email to: lisannehsoc@att.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JACE, a LaGrange Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
