Tyson's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Tyson's Story...
Tyson is a 74 pound, 2 yr. old brindle boxer who came to DDWTN because his owners were getting ready to move and could not take him with them. He is a medium energy boy that likes to lay at his master's feet. He quickly bonded to my husband and has obviously had more time spent with him by a male vs a female. He is warming up to me and eagerly wags his "nub" when spoken to. He walks on a leash but pulls and is a strong boy! He has not had an accident in our home and has enjoyed sleeping in a doggie bed beside our bed. He would love being the only dog since he craves affection and leans on whomever spends the most time with him. He is ok with other dogs, but if challenged will defend himself. Would prefer to put in a home as the only dog. He has not been tested with cats. A home with older children due to his size and strength is required.

Tyson is neutered, UTD on shots, HW negative and on flea and heartworm preventative.

He is in foster care in East Tennessee and will be transported north upon adoption. We use Alpha Dog Transport and they charge $125 for their services. The dog's vet records are handed off when you claim your pup. An adoption fee to cover our vetting costs also applies

If you feel you can offer Tyson the home he needs, you will need to complete our application. Go to our main website then click on "dog adoption"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyson, a Providence Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Providence, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
