BUFORD's Story...
[ADOPTION PENDING. NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.] Say hello to two-year-old Buford. He's a gentle soul who's looking for some love. He's vaccinated and HW-negative, and receives monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Once he's had a good grooming he'll be microchipped and neutered and then he can move on to his forever home. [UPDATE 3/13/13: Buford's been to the groomer and we're sure you'll agree that he looks a whole lot better after his spa day.]

Buford's a little confused at the moment but is friendly and just wants to settle somewhere. Despite having spent most of his young life tied outside he is a clean boy who tries not to soil his space. He came into Rescue because his previous owner just didn't want him anymore. How sad.

He likes being petted, rides well in the car, is friendly toward other dogs but hasn't met a cat. He would probably be most comfortable with kids over age 9 or 10 or so. A secure fenced yard is a must.

Are you looking for someone to love? Buford is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BUFORD, a Sudbury St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Sudbury, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Sudbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sudbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sudbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sudbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
