Ruff Ruff! My name is Chico
|Breed:||Miniature Pinscher||Color:||Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn||Age:||Adult|
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Male|
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Chico is a very young 9 year old male, black and tan with cropped ears and docked tail. Chico appears to have been kept in confinement for most of his life, as his hind end is not very developed and muscular. When he first came to live with me, he was extremely afraid on a leash and appeared not to know how to walk and would spook at different terrain, such as grass, rocks and dirt. He is coming along very well. We are still working on his housebreaking. He has started using the doggie door on his own.
Chico is a very very playful boy. He is loving our family environment and is a velcro dog. He loves to snuggle up with you as much as possible and sleeps under the covers in his foster mom's bed. He follows his foster mom no matter how many times she might get up. He can be very possessive of his human if you allow it, so he needs someone that is min pin savvy. He doesn't mind being in a household with other dogs, but he would love to be an only dog. We get the feeling that he has a lot of catching up to do in the "love" department.
Chico is not much of a barker. He is cautious with new people until he gets to know them. It appears that he was not socialized very much in a family environment, but sure is loving it today.
Chico weighs around 9 or 10 lbs, but could stand to gain a pound or two. Hopefully, his forever home will find him soon. He certainly deserves to be loved on. Don't let his age fool you, he plays with a two year old sheltie and does not have a problem keeping up with her!

Rescue Group Info...
Rescued from a dog farm in South Korea in late 2004, Picasso, a red miniature pinscher, truly defines what it means to be a survivor. Thanks to a wonderful rescuer that brought him from South Korea to the U.S., Picasso found his way to his forever home where he made such an impact on his family, that this organization was created to honor him and help min pins in need.
The mission of Picasso’s Place Min Pin Rescue, Inc. is to facilitate the rescue and adoption of stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered miniature pinschers and place them into permanent and loving homes.
In the interim, we provide appropriate foster and veterinary care, proper nourishment and of course, plenty of love and attention.
Picasso’s Min Pin Rescue, Inc. services the mid-Atlantic and other states when needed. The availability of financial and volunteer resources will determine how many miniature pinschers and how extended a geographical area can be serviced at any given time. Picasso’s Place Min Pin Rescue’s goal is to provide quality care and placement assistance to as many homeless miniature pinschers possible.
Qualified adoptive families are selected through an application process that is focused on the welfare of the miniature pinscher and the need to place each dog in an environment appropriate for that dog's background, temperament and needs. The needs of the homeless miniature pinschers are the rescue’s primary concern. Obtaining safe, loving, lifelong homes for miniature pinschers is our primary goal.

Step 2: Vetrinary and personal references
Step 3: Home visit with the family
Step 4: Profiling & Selection of pet
Step 5: Placement of min pin in home if above steps are met with approval
Every min pin is profiled. We do our best to determine their suitability with cats, other pets and children. They are given flea/tick prevention and a complete medical exam.
Prior to placement, they are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccines are updated. All are tested for heartworm and are dewormed. Adopting a min pin is truly a rewarding experience. Your min pin will quickly become a member of the family and add joy to your home. Their playful and sensitive natures will endear them to everyone.
