Starburst's Story...
Starburst - 2 year old lab pit mix - Star is a people dog. She loves everybody! Starburst is also doing well in her foster home with the other dogs and cats. She is crate trained and housebroken. She is very much a low key dog. She is probably not a dog park dog so much as she does not really play much with the others but really more is into hanging out. She loves dinner time and she loves to ride! If you are interested in Star please apply online at http://www.henricohumane.org/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Starburst, a Richmond Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
