Mila's Story...
Mila is a gorgeous 1-year-old Australian cattle dog mix. Her owners dropped her off at Animal Control to be euthanized. This sweet girl is very mellow and easygoing. She walks well on a leash and has great manners. Mila doesn't understand how to play with toys because she's probably never had one. This is heartbreaking to our volunteers. Mila likes to play around outside and explore but always stays close by your side. She will make a wonderful family dog! Upon adoption, Mila will be spayed, up to date on shots, and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and her adoption fee is $66.00. You can download an adoption application at http://ccpaac.org/ and email it back to info@ccpaac.org. You can TEXT 361-438-3232 for more information.

You can visit Mila at Corpus Christi Animal Control at 2626 Holly Road.
Adoption Hours are M-F 1-5:45 and Saturday 1-4:45 p.m.
Make sure you ask for Jerrod or Stephanie when you go visit!

*Dogs require monthly heartworm prevention so please research this expense before adopting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mila, a Corpus Christi Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Corpus Christi, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Corpus Christi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Corpus Christi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Corpus Christi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Corpus Christi paves the way for another one to be saved.
