Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emerald is a registered Basenji that was once a champion at show and coursing, and a breeding dog. She is now 11 years old but has a good 5-8 years of happy life remaining. Since she was retired from showing, racing and breeding, she has been owned by an older couple who are moving to an assisted living complex that does not allow dogs. Emerald (Emmy) is very gentle, very well trained, and is housetrained. She does not get along well with other dogs, cats, etc. She prefers men, but she does like women as well. Basenji's do not bark, but do 'talk' and make noise. They are also very clean dogs, cleaning themselves much like cats, and are themselves very 'cat-like' in their behaviors and movements. Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT ccrnewengland@gmail.com
