My name is Chauncey and I am a 4 year old German Shepherd mix girl who was found on the side of a country road when I was much younger. My foster mom has been trying so hard to keep dogs like me safe when she finds them but now has discovered that she cannot even afford to feed us all and care for us like she knows we need. She is a young woman who is working and going to school to try and make a better life for herself and just has no time or money to take care of all the dogs she has found over the past few years. I need a forever home that will let me live out many years ahead with love, security and stability. I am a good girl. I weigh 67 pounds and I am very calm and even-tempered they say. I am good with other dogs and would be nice with any type of family. I have lived most all my life outside at my foster home. I haven’t minded since I have a nice thick fur coat and I really haven’t known anything any nicer. I would be a good girl inside and I think it would be wonderful to have my own doggie bed and place to sleep at the foot of someone’s bed. My goodness I would think I had died and gone to doggie heaven to get to sleep in a real house! I truly am smart and very eager to please a family or person that wants to give me a chance to be their very own. Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants.
