I'm Jessa! I was born in June 2012. A nice lady rescued me and took me in, but I got outside one day and came home pregnant before my new owner could get me fixed. Before she knew it, she had 8 more kitties to take care of! Unfortunately, she lost her home, and I was about to end up in an overcrowded shelter, but my current foster mom got to me before anything bad happened to me! I've been in foster care since my babies were 3 days old, and now I'm ready to be adopted! My foster mom had me spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested, de-wormed, and she treated me for fleas and ear mites just to be safe. There is a $100 adoption fee to help Happy Strays cover my vet bills. I would love a forever home, whether it's a home where I'm the only pet or a home where there are other animals. I'm okay with the other kitties, though I'd prefer to only have 1 or 2 feline friends, and am learning that the dogs won't hurt me. I am special because I have extra toes on all 4 paws-I'm a polydactyl! If you'd like to meet me, please contact my foster mom at lexie@happystrays.org and she will get in touch with you right away!
Rescue Group Info...
Happy Strays Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization that cares for stray, abandoned and orphaned cats and kittens. Our rescues are often just babies who require bottlefeeding and hand rearing. Our cats and kittens are cared for in a network of wonderful foster homes while they wait for adoption.
We currently have many many cats and kittens ready for adoption! Because we do not have a shelter and our cats reside in foster homes they are only available to be seen at our adoption Saturdays. If there is a cat you would like to meet, please let us know so that we can make sure the kitty is at our next evemt.
Our cats are available for adoption every Saturday from 11 am-3:30 pm at the PETCOs in La Canada and Santa Clarita. Please see our website for details and directions.
Our fees are $100 and include spay/neuter, testing for Felv/FIV and all vaccinations. We have an adoption questionaire and contract to be signed. We do not allow de-clawing, but we often rescue declawed cats and have them available for adoption. If the adoption is not a good fit for the cat or family, pets may always be returned to us.
