Tink's Story...
Tink is an adorable little tot. This three-year-old Chihuahua mix has a pretty tan and white coat with big, dark, puppy dog eyes. This cutie pie doesn’t require much in terms of living space so she’d be happy in an apartment or a house. Due to their small nature, Chihuahua’s are sometimes sensitive to cold temperatures so she would love to go shopping with you for a sweater or a pretty coat to wear. The history of the Chihuahua is full of mystery and intrigue. Some believe the dog originated from the Fennec Fox, a very small animal with big eyes and ears. Others believe it’s most likely descended from the Techichi, a companion dog favored by the Toltec civilization in Mexico. One thing we do know for sure is that Tink is a sweet girl that is going to make her new forever family very happy. She is spayed, up-to-date on her shots and will be microchipped before adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tink, a Rockaway Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Rockaway, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Rockaway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rockaway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rockaway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rockaway paves the way for another one to be saved.
