My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jane Austen

2 yrs. old, 45 pounds - these girls are said to be Beagle mixes. We aren't sure what breeds they are mixed with, but Jane's stance and her one bright blue eye are reminiscent of the Catahoula. Jane is cautious, but curious. She instigates play with her sister and exhibits a general interest in the other dogs.

Jane & Emily are 2 girls rescued from squalor. Jane is Noah's mom and Emily is her sister. These two are shy and scared, but they're making progress on a daily basis. Both are looking for their forever homes and do not need to be adopted together. Both girls are good in a crate, good with kids, cats, and other dogs, and they're very quickly learning to go potty outside.
LGR is a foster based rescue, which means that our adoptable dogs live in foster homes. Because they live with us, we know the habits, needs, temperament, and level of training of our dogs. To adopt an LGR dog, we ask that you first submit an adoption application (link below). When we receive your application, we will review and respond via email within 7 days. Our adoption process does more than screen applicants; it allows us to work with adopters to properly match our dogs with their forever homes. Each LGR dog is spayed/neutered, vaccinated (rabies, bordatella, DHLPP), heartworm tested (age appropriate), microchipped, and treated with heartworm and flea preventative. . As a foster based rescue, we rely on the generosity of people like you to open your hearts & homes to a dog in need. To become an LGR foster, please submit a foster application here: http://bit.ly/LGRFosterApp
