My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(BLUE LEOPARD DOG IS HIS MOTHER. Radar is a 12 week old Red Merle pup, his spots don't show up like some Catahoulas but in the sunlilght they do so he is known as a Ghost Merle. He is the last puppy left out of a litter of 7 that was born to a stray that wandered onto my dairy. Tanzie, Radars mom, was so sweet and loving that my husband and I decided to keep her after we were unable to locate her original home. I was fairly certain upon first seeing her that she was pregnant and could not have her fixed until after the pups were born. Tanzie has been in love with my two year old since the day she got here and is extremely tolerant of a young child’s lack of gentleness. All of the puppies were around my daughter from the day they were born and enjoyed playing with her once they moved out of the whelping box. I was able to find 6 of the 7 puppies great homes but have not been able to find a home for this last little guy so Catahoula Rescue stepped in and I will be fostering him for them. All of the puppies i placed house trained very quickly and are doing extremely well in their new homes. Tanzie was also house trained within about two weeks (though never had an accident). Radar is not house trained at this point as he has to live outside in a 10x10 enclosure made of horse panels lined with wire mesh fencing. Radar has walked on a leash twice and did great both times. He is curious about horses and cows but shows them respect and gives them the space they deserve, but he is not scared of them. Sadly he does not get out of his enclosure very often as I am heavily pregnant and have a two year old that demands all of my time. He does get out occasionally to play with my neighbors dog and also enjoys playing with Tanzie. He likes every dog and animal he has come in contact with, and there hasn't been a person that he hasn't fallen in love with either. Tanzie is very outgoing and friendly and never bothers the cows or horses, one of which is a best buddy of hers. There is no telling what dad was as there was an obvious mix of a few different dads within the litter, one of which is believed to be an Australian shepherd. All of the puppies, however, did get moms webbed toes and up-curled tail. He has been neutered and is up to date on all his shots and wormer. IF you think this handsome pup would be a FUREVER FIT IN YOUR HOME.. please contact Janeen Jackson jj4@midrivers.com (PUP IS IN BAKERSFIELD CA AREA) or call her 406-323-3519 and she can send you the adopt application. You are not obligated by filling it out until everyone is sure it is a good match for you and yours and you for him. This dog is the color of honey and butter and a handsome pup with so much going for him. MORE PHOTOS COMING SOON
