Sam's Story...
Meet our Sam. Sam came to us from a kill shelter in KY where his days were numbered. He was a favorite to all the shelter staff and we knew we had to save this old soul. Sam is house trained, great with other dogs, LOVES his belly rubbed and has lots of life and love to offer anyone. He is estimated to be about 10 years old, we are unsure about his breed but judging by his stature and body build we are guessing he is a Basset Hound Mix. He has such a unique look and personality you just have to meet him in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Russellville Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Russellville, or seeking a Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Russellville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Russellville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Russellville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Basset Hound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Russellville paves the way for another one to be saved.
