My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Keller (brother to Tiffany, also listed here on petfinder). some folks call us Special Needs, but our foster mom just calls us Special! We are now about 8 months old and the sweetest pups you have ever met. I am deaf and blind. However, because I was born that way, I don't know anything different. I do everything all puppies do...follow the cat, chew on a stick, wrestle and play hard and I also love to snuggle. I am the happiest boy! I just toodle along cute as can be. I know the layout of the house (downstairs only) very well. I easily find my way to the door, my crate, food/water, etc. I jump up and down on the couch to snuggle and I have amazing distance perception. I know when it is feeding time and I go right to my spot to wait for my bowl. I don't want a family that feels sorry for me, I want a family that can offer me the life I want and deserve. I have been in foster care since I was four weeks old and my foster family thinks I am the BEST! You wouldn't even know I had a disability. I currently weigh about 18 pounds and will not be very big at all, less than 25 pounds. My perfect home would be a home with a securely fenced yard, positive reinforcement training using touch signals, a soft warm bed,as few stairs as possible, lots and lots of lovins' and preferably no children. I am crate trained and doing excellent at housetraining. I do love other dogs, but if you have another dog, it must be extremely patient, as I love to play and I don't hear a grouchy dog's warning growl :-) Please call or email if you have a SPECIAL HEART for a Special Dog ! Regretfully we are no longer able to adopt to RI and MA applicants. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Please contact our foster mom Ann-Marie at chekatrice@gmail.com
