Cosmo's Story...
Cosmo is a gorgeous harlequin Great Dane with natural ears who is looking for a forever home that understands the breed. At only about 18 months of age, Cosmo did not seem to have any house manners when he first arrived at the Kiko foster family. He helped himself to whatever he wanted from the counters and was not clean in the house, but he has sure come a long way! Cosmo now gets along well with the other dogs at the foster home and has learned to do his business outside. He has also been working with a trainer and is better behaved both inside and on walks - he has even learned to get along with the cats. Cosmo will benefit from an experienced adopter who is committed to continuing to educate this big boy. A home without small children would also be best for him. Drop us a line if you think you have what it takes to be Cosmo's new forever caregiver.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($250 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo, a Rigaud Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
