UPDATED BIO 09/23/2013: Lola Bell is 5 years old and weighs 10 lbs 6 oz. She is being fostered in North Port, FL
Lola and her sister Penny were surrendered to UYR as a bonded pair; they were adopted out together, but due to unknown reasons, Penny decided she wanted to be the boss of Lola and they got into some serious squabbles. They were returned to UYR as a result, and now will be adopted out individually.
Lola wants everyone to know that she is 10.6 lbs of solid sweetness. Here’s what else she had to say: My day starts early, but that’s not a problem so says FM. She just picks me up and gives me lots of kisses that I happily return. Next, we are off and running to the backyard with the rest of the pack. I think it’s so much fun as we are all girlies in the household, except for kitty Oreo and, of course, Foster Dad. After breakfast (no appetite problems for me!), we just take a break and sit at the window watching what; s going on down the street.
Uh-Oh! Break time is over and off we go for our daily walk around the block. I enjoy going for walks almost as much as jumping on my foster German Shepherd sister Nala! We just gently play with each other until we are exhausted!
What? I hear FD ~ he is home ~ yeah! Let me run and greet him with tons of kisses. If you are looking for a pretty, sweet and active girl ~ look no more ~ here I am!

If Lola looks familiar, its because she and her sister Penny Lane were surrendered to UYR as a bonded pair; they were adopted out together, but due to unknown circumstances, Penny decided she wanted to be the boss of Lola and they got into some serious squabbles. UPDATED BIO 02/28/2013: Lola Bell just came into rescue today with her sister, Penny Lane; they are being fostered in North Port, FL. They were surrendered by their former owner who has had them since they were 12 weeks old, but due to an unfortunate change in her living condition, she was forced to give them up. Lola and Penny are both 5 years old; Lola is obese @ 13 lbs.4 oz and would be a healthier weight if she lost 3 lb; her Foster Parents will be working on that. Due to her obesity, Lola huffs and puffs all the time while walking around and this is definitely not healthy, especially for her joints.
Both girls were updated on their vaccines today and are HW negative (thank goodness!). They need dentals very badly as their mouths are infected, and they will receive the dentals tomorrow and be ready for adoption !
Lola and Penny Lane are both very sweet ~ it appears that Lola takes care of Penny who is more on the shy side. It would be best for the girls to have a home where someone is not gone long hours, as they have been used to their person being home all day. Lola loves to chase lizards. (and eat them – yuk!). She love attention and is more laid-back than Penny, but misses her “Sissy” and knows to look for her if she’s not around. The girlies look out for each other. Lola is a happy dog; her prior owner calls her ‘perfect’ and she also loves a good rub-down , as well as going to bed early. She loves to be pampered and spoiled ~what princess doesn’t? NOTE : These girlies have always been together and must be adopted together.
