Nero's Story...
Nero is a Beautiful Blue Heeler. He is about a year and a half old, around 45 lbs, neutered, vaccinated, and hw tested negative. He is a pretty high energy guy, loves fetch and would probably make a great agility dog with proper training. He would love to have a fenced yard to play in and would also be a good walking/runing partner. He needs to go to a home with no cats or male dogs and no kids. If you would like to learn more about this sweet guy please email pigsandrats80@gmail.com Nero is being posted for an individual rescuer and is not affiliated with FOR.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nero, a Homewood Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
