My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! my name is Pippin (short for Peregrin Took). I am eight-years-young and a perfect IG boy. My foster daddy says I am a gentle giant in Iggy terms. I am what they call a biggie Iggy and have really long legs. I weigh in at about 15 lbs after getting some high protein in my diet and getting beefed up by my foster parents. Not sure why my previous owners forgot me, however, I am doing wonderful in my foster home and just love interacting with the family. I am a very laid back kind of guy and not much bothers me. I am the best-behaved 4-legged fella in my foster pack. I love my IG brother and sister so much I save them a small hint of my food when I am done. I get along greyt with all my foster IGs and the house kitty, which I don't pay much attention to really. I would probably do best in a home with other dogs.
Just love to snuggle with my foster dad whether watching TV in the media room or sleeping right next to him in the bed. It is cold sometimes, which is when I really love to snuggle and stay warm. I can just sleep most of the day and emulate being a couch potato or get out and run with all the other whipper snappers. I'm part Velcro doggie, part lap dog, and part just my own man. Sometimes I sleep in the media room all by myself, just taking it easy for some alone time and sometimes I stay glued to the pack. I am not particularly a morning boy, as I love to sleep in, but once I wake up, I am ready for an exciting day.
I am neutered, and with no medical issues. You do have to brush my teeth regularly however, because I previously had a few teeth pulled. I’m getting pretty good at using potty pads and am learning what the doggie door is. I am ok in a crate, but don't spend much time there as one of my foster parents is usually home at least six days a week. I enjoy walking with the pack on a leash and getting our daily exercise. One of my favorite things to do is hang out at the dog park and play with all the other doggies.
If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, "mini iggy" giant who loves people and other dogs, look no further. You won't be disappointed as I have lots of loving-life left in me. I cannot wait to meet my new family as I am really getting attached to my foster dad as he spoils and pampers me silly! I learn very quickly and am an obedient kind of guy. I have a great easy-going personality. Won’t you give me a chance to be a part of your family? I promise you will be glad you did. :)
