Finn's Story...
Finn (fka Big Boi) is a sweet boy that we rescued from death row in Brooklyn with only a few hours left. This poor boy was surrended by his family because they were having a baby (and not because he does not do well with children, he lived with several prior to the new baby). Finn is also deaf so he is feeling very lost and alone in the shelter. He still did very well on his evaluation and was scheduled for euthenasia due to having a doggie cold. Our rescue is rather full and always doing what we can to help those in need, we felt that Finn deserved a second chance and so did his foster mom! We will get to know Finn while he is in his foster home with us, teach him hand signals and get him ready for his furever adoptive family! If you would be interested in adopting Finn please email If you have pledged for Finn's rescue or would like to donate towards his care (he has kennel cough and will also need to be neutered and receive a full exam) you can do so We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit that relies on donations! Please check here for updates on Finn and all of his avail-a-bully friends!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Hillsborough Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Hillsborough, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Hillsborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
