Tawny is a happy, friendly, well adjusted little 10 lb. female English Cream colored Dachshund/Italian Greyhound mix rescued from the Coachella Valley Shelter. She is a very pretty dog. Tawny is a young dog; the shelter lists her as age one, however, I tend to think she may actually be two. She greets everyone she meets with happy tail wags. She loves humans and other dogs, but seems to need some adjustment time with cats. She will wrestle and play with her foster brother (my Chiweenie) and loves to steal his squeaky toys to entice play.
Tawny has no problem settling down for the night in her crate or pet bed. She likes to also have a blanket at night to burrow in. Tawny is potty-trained (though potty enforcement is needed in any new environment), likes to walk on the leash (with a harness), and knows her basic commands. Though not tested, I believe Tawny would do fine with children. Tawny is a well behaved “easy dog” with an A plus personality; she is a great balance between lap dog and playful pup! She can be adopted to a home with other dogs, as she is dog social and also enjoys running around, chasing and playing with the other dogs in the rescue, but could also be fine as the only dog in the home.
Tawny is spayed, de-wormed, micro-chipped, and fully vaccinated. If you are interested in Tawny, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: email@example.com.
