Krissy's Story...
Older Kitten, spayed female, domestic shorthair, brown tiger. PCS received a call from someone who worked in a warehouse. It seems that a young female cat had been hanging around and was being fed by the employees who all felt that this cute little girl deserved a chance to be rescued and domesticated. Krissy turned out to be a very sweet girl who loves to be petted and groomed. She does well with other cats, as long as they are not too aggressive with her. Krissy has the most amazing eyes and our first thought when we saw her was how much she resembled a British Shorthair. The shape of her eyes and her face, her strong sturdy body, and her dense fur coat give us cause to wonder. What we are certain of is that this sweet cat will not be at the shelter very long!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Krissy, a Medway Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medway, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Medway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medway paves the way for another one to be saved.
