Honobee's Story...
Honobee was found in the hills of Oklahoma wandering by himself. A couple renting a ranch took him in for a while until their landlord visited one day and noticed a donkey on the property. He did not like donkeys and told the couple to get him off the property or they would have to move. Broken hearted they called Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue and asked for them to find him a home. He stayed at a satellite center in Oklahoma and was eventually adopted.
Unfortunately the adopters returned him to the rescue and Honobee once again was looking for a home. He was transfered to our rescue in October of 2011. He was adopted to a great family and he thought he had finally found his forever home. He was well cared for by his new family until tragedy struck when the family's horse passed away and Honobee was all alone. He again is without a family.
He is a precious boy that will be a great family pet. He is rideable and just wants to be loved. Please call the rescue so Honobee can have the family he deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honobee, a Malvern Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny for sale in Malvern, or seeking a Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny from a breeder in Malvern.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Malvern already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Malvern breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny breeders who help with Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Malvern paves the way for another one to be saved.
