My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ms. Missy, or Cosita as her friends at the Animal Urgent and Critical Care Center have nicknamed her, came to NBS Animal Rescue from our very good friends at 4 Paws 1 Heart.

Missy was hit by a car and suffered some extreme injuries including a poptused right eyeball (her eye came out of the socket), a broken mandible (lower jaw), and rear leg/hip injuries just to name a few. 4 Paws 1 Heart graciously paid for Missy's veterinary care and surgery to remove her eye, wire her bottom jaw together, and take care of her physical wounds. Gina lovingly took this sweet baby home with her to nurse her back to health, give her around the clock pain medicine, antibiotics, and love. Missy sends her love to Gina for believing in her and giving her a second chance at life. ♥

When Missy was well enough and finished with her medications, NBS Animal Rescue contacted 4 Paws 1 Heart's Gina and volunteered to carry on this sweet little girls care as we search for a fur-ever home for her. Estimated at 3yrs old, Missy is now living in one of our awesome foster homes and has blossomed into quite the happy and energetic little lady! She is potty trained and waltzes right outside into the fenced yard to do her business, she enjoys the company of other gentle dogs who occasionally want to enjoy a quick romp with a toy, and she LOVES to snuggle on your lap or bask on the couch in the sunshine. As one can imagine from her injuries, Missy is still a bit sore and getting used to her lack of vision on her right side. We would like to send a HUGE bark out to our amazing friends at Bingo Pet Salon who were so gentle and patient as they groomed this little sweetheart. We appreciate them taking their time, making her comfortable, and knowing when to stop before she became stressed. We ♥ you Bingo!

While Missy still has a few weeks of recovery to go before the wire in her jaw is removed and her spay surgery is completed, she's ready to start looking for her fur-ever family now. If you think you or someone you know might be the perfect quiet and loving home for Missy - please share Missy's picture with them and ask them to visit our website at www.nbsanimalrescue.com to fill out an online adoption application.

I really am a great gal, I just need the right family to give me the confidence and love I deserve. Could it be with you???

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you think that I might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the awesome volunteers at N.B.S. Animal Rescue at nbsanimalrescue@gmail.com for any additional information or answers to any questions you might have. You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!

Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application. While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family. Would you please help me by sharing my picture and information on your Facebook page, or e-mail to your friends and family members? I'm a great pup and I really deserve a loving family to give all of my love and puppy kisses to! Thank-you for your help!
