Tootsie's Story...
I am Tootsie, a petite little Torbie…that’s a cross between a tortoise-shell and a tabby. My fur has the markings of both. I am a young little girl… 1 to 2 years old and I am extremely sweet and lovable. I was found outside by a nice couple and coaxed inside. I was cold and hungry so it was an easy decision for me to make. I am good with other cats so if you are looking for a friend for your resident cat, look no further. I just went in for surgery and it was discovered that one of my nipples had to be removed I’m now on antibiotics and am recovering from surgery at my foster family’s home. I will be available for adoption in about 1 week. I’m am scared when you first meet me but wouldn't you be if you went through what I did. I’m a real cuddle bug when you hold me Please fill out a pre-adoption form just in case you fall in love with me just looking at my photo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tootsie, a Medford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
