Humans do dumb things...like dumping our pregnant mom in the shelter just days before she gave birth to us! I promise you'll never find a more loyal companion than me!

I was born on 2-1-13 and will be available to go my new home at the very beginning of May! My mom, Lulu is a Dachshund and we think our dad was the Chihuahua that was surrendered to the shelter by the same family, so that makes us Chi-weenies! Some of us were born with naturally docked tails and some of us have long tails; it's pretty cool! We're super smart and are already working on housetraining!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Major, a Glastonbury Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
