Scrappy's Info...

I am in need of an experienced adopter, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Scrappy's Story...
Scrappy holds true to his name. This little guy came to us from an abusive home where, unfortunately, he was the target of attention. We're not sure about a home with cats or children but we have seen some dislikes towards other dogs. It would be best if Scrappy was in a home with an experienced pet owner who could show Scrappy how to properly trust again.

Act quickly to adopt Scrappy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scrappy, a Fort Scott Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Fort Scott, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Fort Scott.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Scott already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Scott breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Scott paves the way for another one to be saved.
