Wally's Story...
My name is Wally and I was picked in Wal-Mart parking lot. I was pretty starved but now those days are a thing of the past. I am a real couch potato and would love nothing more that laying around and watching football or basketball games. I am rather a large cat about 20 pounds and 6 years old. I really don't like other cats I kinda just want to be the only cat at home. I like to go out sometimes but I must be adopted as an inside cat. I promise if you want a laid back lap cat, I'm your guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wally, a Hazard American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Hazard, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
