Sally's Story...
Sally is a precious little lemon beagle. She is just under 14 inches tall and weighs a perfect 22 lbs. Sally was picked up as a stray south of Houston and was in good shape except for a positive test for heart worms. She went through treatment without any problems and is back to being a playful energetic beagle girl!

Sally has never had an accident in the house and has perfect house manners. She is fairly quiet with a deep wonderful bay when someone walks on “her” property. She interacts with the other beagles in the household, but rarely joins in any of the games with them. She enjoys time on her own exploring the yard or snuggling next to you on the couch. Sally sleeps through the night on a chair or dog bed, but will occasionally sneak onto the bed with you! She is well mannered on a leash, rarely pulling. She will crate quietly, but has not needed to be crated for most of her time in her foster home.

Sally is a sweet and loving girl who will be very happy to be someone’s only dog. Please fill out an application today and come and meet this great beagle!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sally, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
