Alex's Story...
Alex is a 3 1/2 year old neutered male Japanese Chin. Alex is a little dog with a big personality. He loves to play with toys and other dogs. He is great on a leash and gets along well with other small dogs and cats. Alex can be a little headstrong and needs an owner who is consistent on boundries. Alex came from a home where he was allowed to run the house and would snap if he did not get his way. Alex has done very well in rescue and is very responsive to soft verbal corrections. Alex would do best in an adult home with an experienced dog owner. He is playful and very affectionate with his person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alex, a Aurora Japanese Chin dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Japanese Chin for sale in Aurora, or seeking a Japanese Chin dog from a breeder in Aurora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aurora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aurora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Japanese Chin breeders who help with Japanese Chin rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aurora paves the way for another one to be saved.
