Rose's Story...
This is a great breed mix for smarts and for faithfulness. A working dog breed mix will be good about hanging out with the family and doing her job, which is taking care of you. Many can be trained to do all sorts of great tasks and tricks as you know from watching them catch a frisbee in mid air to changing tv channels on the remote as you direct. (the last one might be a stretch) They often want to be with you more, than whatever is down the street...She is young so very trainable. she also may be great with cats, we just don't know since they are in a cage . Go see this dog and see for yourself. The shelter address: 650 John Howell Memorial Drive in Linconton. 704 736 4125, Open 6 days a week; M-Sat 11 to 4 ;30and Thursday open until 5:30 pm. Closed Sunday. Adoption fee of 85.00 includes the spay or neuter , another disease preventative vaccine and a rabies vaccine, a microchip, as well as worming and a new bonus, 30 days of free insurance..Incredible. There is a family friendly adoption room and a back area to take the dog out for walk. the dogs do bark up a storm when anyone comes, so please keep that in mind and take her out to really see what she will be like into a quiter outside area. these dogs do not get walked; they stay in their small runs most all the time so they are very happy to stretch their legs. The shelter does do same day adoptions ; The dog will be spayed or neutered once the adoption fee is paid and you will pick it up at the vets. . these dogs dont' have forever, so please, don't delay they are depending on you for their lives.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose, a Lincolnton Collie/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Lincolnton, or seeking a Collie/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Lincolnton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincolnton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincolnton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincolnton paves the way for another one to be saved.
