Chantilly's Story...
Hi! My name is Chantilly. I first arrived in START II's care in the beginning of the year when my human guardian passed away. START II saw that I was in pretty rough shape, so I went to the vet to get a check-up, was treated for minor ailments, and went to the kitty dentist! Now I feel like a new kitty and I'm ready to find my new (and last) furever home. If you're looking for a quiet friend who will snuggle with you on cold evening, listen to your problems without saying a word, and make you smile when you wake in the morning, look no further. I'm the friend for you! I am quiet and enjoy the company of people. Other cats don't bother me so much, as long as they are on the laid back side. I've been known to go after a stuffed mouse or two, but most of the time, I enjoy watching my surroundings and hanging out with people.

Chantilly is current on her vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. If you are interested in meeting Chantilly, please call Donna at (201) 873-7533 or email startkayne@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chantilly, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
