Athena's Story...
Athena is a young Rottie mix mom that came from the shelter with her puppies 4 weeks ago, she has with black and mahogany color markings and a long white patch shape in her chest, small size and very active. She is been doing lately great improvement weight wise, since is not nursing the pups any more, despite the fact that she is a puppy herself and was really skinny at the beginning always is doing a wonderful job as a mom. Really smart and agile I'll not surprise if her lucky forever family decides to take her for agility lessons. She enjoys human and dog companion and think she'll do better in a home where she can be with two or four legged company most of the time.I would like to add that she is very vocal, common in Rottweilers specially females, soon you'll learn how to interpret each one of the different "vocalizations" that she use to: Get you attention, asking you to go outside, letting you know she is hungry or just to say "hello can we play?" Athena is fostered with Diana

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena, a Largo Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Largo, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
