Tobi's Story...
IDGSR WELCOMES TOBI INTO THE RESCUE! TOBI came to us because her elderly owner ended up in a nursing home and the family could not care for her. Tobie is a 3 yr. old Black Sable female German Shepherd. She is a lovely and sweet girl and was very nervous when she came in as she was not used to alot of other dogs around her but she has relaxed now and is doing great. Tobi will do great in a home with folks who have quiet home, she is used to 'senior living' and she has a calm & gentle disposition about her. She would do well with someone who would love to take nice walks every day and stop and smell the roses. She is personable, loveable, easy going and easy to handle. She is by no means a senior girl at age 3 but she has that 'ol gal' wisdom that will be a welcome addition to a family. She is friendly to all and is a great companion. She loves to snuggle and watch TV and will be by your side always. If you would like to make Tobi a member of your family, please apply to this rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tobi, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
