Mumford's Story...
Mumford & Sonny

Could you use a little more peace and harmony in your life? We have a father and son duo of purrfect Persians that could definitely fit the bill!!! Mumford & Sonny are our brave little lion men who since their arrival have brought the house down with their charming antics. Although we enjoy seeing them play nothing would make us happier than for them to find a permanent gig in a forever home… Persians do require daily upkeep to keep them healthy and happy so please only respond if you are truly committed to this. Mumford is 4 years old and Sonny is 2. They have been neutered, combo tested negative and are up to date with their regular shots. If you are interested in meeting Mumford & Sonny or other cats/kittens in our care waiting for a home, please call 508-695-4707 (leave a message if need be!). Paws of Plainville, Inc. is dedicated to helping the homeless cats in the local area. We are an all volunteer, nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to P.O. Box 2236, Plainville, MA 02762. For more information, please visit us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mumford, a Plainville Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Plainville, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Plainville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainville paves the way for another one to be saved.
