Baxter#1's Story...
Looking for a unique dog? Look no further! Baxter is an adorable and comical-looking guy who is looking for a new home. His breed mix is anyone's guess. Our guess is German Shepherd mixed with either Basset Hound or Corgi! He has short stubby legs and a big German-Shepherd type head!

Baxter is approximately 1 year old and is male. He came to us from a home that couldn't care for him.

Baxter is housetrained gets along well with other dogs and with children. He also gets along with the cats in his foster home by just ignoring them. He travels well in the car and recently visited a dog park, where he had a great time and behaved himself!

Baxter is still working on his leash training and can be shy of loud noises.

Baxter is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue. His adoption donation is $375. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered,
microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm tested as part of their adoption. Please fill out an application at our website

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter#1, a Cambridge Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Cambridge, or seeking a Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Cambridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cambridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cambridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cambridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
