My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Lyla! I am a 13month old, spayed, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. I was brought into The Pet Rescue Center as a relinquishment. I was adopted into my previous home as a puppy and the resident dog there did not like me. They tried everything they could to train the other pet, but in the end they decided to give me a better life. Despite getting picked on in my short life, I really like other dogs. I would do well with a new playmate, but I would love to be spoiled rotten as the only pet. The first thing Casey noticed about me was how smiley I am! I am great at meeting new people and getting attention. Casey is still working on my basic training, but I am smart and a fast learner. I am very well-behaved and quite mellow for being a youngster. I love to give kisses and try to fit in your lap. I would love new people to love and play with. Please come visit me and see how cute and gentle I am.
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.

All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org

Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.

The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
