Tasha's Story...
Prior to discussing our dogs we will need you to complete the Preliminary Adoption Application on our homepage at www.hernyhumane.com. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the animal. If your application is approved, a volunteer or staff member will contact you via phone or email.

As with all our other pets please have an excellent verifiable vet history if you wish to be considered to adopt.
Adoption Fee: $250.00 All of our dogs have been given age-appropriate vaccinations, are spayed/neutered, dewormed, had capstar and/or frontline applied, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, and microchipped with registration pre paid.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tasha, a McDonough German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in McDonough, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in McDonough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McDonough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McDonough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McDonough paves the way for another one to be saved.
