Lizzy's Story...
Lizzy is a cuddly 2-year-old Whippet/Pointer mix. She's been spayed and microchipped. Lizzy had her rabies and annual vaccinations on 6/7/2012. Lizzy's a sweet little girl who loves her family very very much. She's the kind of dog who would curl up in your chair and enjoys sitting in your lap. Lizzy loves her people so much, she can be a little jealous of other animals, so we recommend she is the only dog in the house. Lizzy is a little on the shy side, but is playful when the mood takes her! Lizzy would be the perfect dog for a quiet home who wants a cuddler and kisser. If Lizzy doesn't warm up to you on the first day, never fear! It may take her a day or two to show you her true personality. Please ask to take her out in a play-yard!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzy, a Brooksville Whippet/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Pointer for sale in Brooksville, or seeking a Whippet/Pointer dog from a breeder in Brooksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Pointer breeders who help with Whippet/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
