My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boozer is an 8 year old mantle male with natural ears, white socks, and a distinguished salt and pepper muzzle. He came into rescue due to a change in his prior owners’ employment situation. It's easy to forget that “Boo” is 8 years old because he’s always ready to play! Boozer likes to play with toys and always wants to have at least two in his mouth. He runs to get the tennis ball then waits until you throw another one before he comes back. He’s very affectionate and just wants to be with his people. After we gave him a bath, his fur has been so soft! Boozer is living with another male senior Dane and a small female poodle mix and does well with both of them. He happily greets new dogs and people on our walks. He’s very friendly! Boozer is a little underweight, but is eating well and we’ve been working on “Whose dog bowl is that?” and it’s getting much better. If tempted, Boozer will counter-surf. Boozer can handle 3 or 4 steps OK, but hasn’t been interested in climbing a full flight of stairs. He was tentative on our hardwood floors, but has gotten use to them and appreciated the small throw rug we put down as an “island”.
