Sydney's Story...
Sydney and her brothers and sisters were born in a culvert after their mom was dumped out. A kind person found them and took them to a local shelter, they were then brought into rescue. On top of not having such a great start to life, Sydney was born with a deformed leg. The leg is being held in place in the hopes that it can be saved. If not, she will have to have the leg removed. This does not seem to slow her down any! She is very spunky and a real trooper and we know she will make someone a wonderful pet. So please don't let her disability get you down. The puppies are 6 weeks old now and won't be ready to go to their new homes until April 9th. Momma is a doxy mix and very sweet. She will also be looking for a new home. All of the puppies will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before leaving the rescue. The adoption fee is $250.00 If you are interested in learning more please give us a call at 541-788-1406. For an adoption application please visit our website at Thanks for looking at one of our pups! PS. If you cannot adopt Sydney please consider donating to her upcoming surgery via our website. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sydney, a Bend Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Bend, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Bend.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bend already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bend breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bend paves the way for another one to be saved.
