Keeda's Story...
Check out my blue eyes! I came to the shelter March 2012 because my family had to move and could not take me with. They were heartbroken to have to give me up. They had taken me to obedience classes and made sure I was a well-mannered girl. I only spent a few weeks at the shelter before I was adopted again. Fast forward to today and I find myself in the same situation. A few things about me that are interesting...I do not like my tail pulled. I am scared of that monster vacuum cleaner and those big trucks. I know what the command "sit" means. I walk well on a leash (I love to go for walks!). Stop out to the shelter any day between 4pm and 6pm to visit me. I am 5 years old (DOB 1-15-08) and weigh about 46 pounds. POSTED MARCH 26, 2013

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keeda, a Geneseo Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
