River- Adopted!'s Story...
Name: River
Age: 1.5 years (as of march 2013)
Breed: Pit mix (maybe aussie?)
Gender: Female
River has a personality just as stunning as her unusual appearance :) River has a gorgeous merle coat, expressive ears and a kissable pink nose. She has a pitty-esque head shape and size, Catahoula-like markings but her size is much smaller... and some Australian Shepherd could account for her features, too. She is 37lbs and full grown, with a low maintenance coat and easy-going personality. She likes to play with other dogs and has a gentle, almost maternal way with small puppies. River is gentle and a little bit intimidated with large dogs at first but warms up to them and starts playing in no time. She also loves to snuggle on a dog bed and will cozy up with anyone who will let her! River is doing great with her housebreaking and hasn't had an accident since her first day. She sleeps quietly in her crate and rarely barks. River loves to run with the dogs during a game of fetch and enjoys carrying a ball with her. She would love fetch if taught a few of the actual rules of the game ;)
