Lady's Story...
I was living the good life outside chasing the birds and butterflies. My people always made sure I had plenty of food. Then they had to move and wanted to make sure I would find a home where I would be safe and protected so they brought me to the shelter. I am about a year old (est DOB 3-26-12). I love sitting on laps and getting my belly rubbed. POSTED 3-25-13

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady, a Geneseo Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
