Kimba's Story...
Hi, My name is Kimba and I found myself in this scary place with all these other dogs, I heard my dad say they couldn't take me with them when they were moving and I'm not sure why but I was so scared when they left me. But this nice lady called these people called rescue and another nice lady came to get me and take me to my now Rescue Mom. Its' really nice here with my rescue family, but I want my own family again. I heard them say this is an orphanage for German Shepherds, I don't know what that word means but I hope it means I'll have a family again. I'm very sad right now and unsure but everyone does seem so nice.

RESCUE MOM: Kimba is new to the Rescue and as she told you, her family was moving and said they could not take her, Kimba was surrendered to a shelter and we were called right away. Kimba is still very unsure of her surroundings, we will be doing full assessment and evaluation, it is our understanding according to her intake paperwork she is housebroke, lived inside a residence with children and with other dogs, no cats. She is very friendly, engaging, sweet, affectionate, and well behaved in the house. She is approx. 4 yrs. old, in excellent condition and a beautiful girl. She knows some commands and is easy to handle. She has a nice temperment and will be easy to work with for more advanced training. If you would like to apply for Kimba, please apply with this rescue on our website

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kimba, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
