Hi, my name is Jacob! I’m a very friendly boy and full of activity! Once I warm up, I’m very affectionate and love my people! I really don’t know how to play with toys yet, but I’m hoping you can teach me so I can feel like I have a job to do! I love to run around and act aloof, why you ask?! Because that is just what us huskies do! I don’t know any of my basic obedience skills and I would love to take a class with my pack leader so I can be the smartest dog on the block!

Jacob came to the shelter as a stray
He is potty-trained; keep him on a schedule and crate-training is recommended
No small children and no feline friends

About this breed: Alaskan Huskies are friendly and family-orientated dogs. They are smart and quick learners, but they can also be strong-minded. They do require regular exercise and grooming. These are basic breed observations, but may not all apply to this specific dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Appleton Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in Appleton, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Appleton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Appleton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Appleton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Appleton paves the way for another one to be saved.
