Daisy's Story...
Daisy is a courtesy posting for FourPawsRescue. Daisy is a wonderful 10lb. 10 year old spayed Chihuahua. She is a lovely old gal who lost her owner. It’s a sad story. Her owner could no longer keep her due to his medical condition and he gave her to someone hoping that person would keep Daisy forever. Well that didn’t happen and Daisy ended up in the county shelter. She needed a dental and a small tumor removed so 4 Paws stepped in to help her out. Daisy is a very loving gal who loves to be petted and sit with her owner. She is very low key, sleeps in either her doggie bed or a crate and is very quiet. She would do best with one other small mellow dog like herself or as an only dog. She uses a doggie door and loves to go outside and sit in the sunshine. Every now and then she gets a spark and goes tearing around the yard like a puppy.

Daisy is a little over weight and needs to lose about 2lbs. and we are working on that. She takes medicine for a thyroid condition which she will be on for life and will need to have blood tests annually to make sure her dosage is correct. She is also on Glucosamine to help those old bones of hers. She would make a wonderful pet for an elderly person or just someone who doesn’t want a dog that needs lots of exercise. She is a sweetheart and will melt your heart. Her adoption fee is $50 and she is current on all vaccinations and microchipped. Please email 4 Paws Pet Rescue at www.fourpawspets08@yahoo.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a petaluma Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in petaluma, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
