Hitch's Story...
Hitch is a super sweet, smart dog who loves to get belly rubs and cuddle. He is crate trained, potty trained, knows basic commands, has good manners and does well on a leash He was found in the Everglades with a damaged leg. The leg has been surgically corrected and will cause not further issues. He plays ball and enjoys short walks. He gets along with other dogs (lives with 2 now) but can be possesive of toys and food, so he would do best as an only dog or with someone who is willing to be strict and/or work with a trainer. To meet Hitch, please visist the AVAILABLE DOGS page of www.pitifulpups.com and fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hitch, a Orlando American Bulldog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Orlando, or seeking a American Bulldog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Bulldog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
