Barkley's Story...
MEET BARKLEY! This Saturday (4/6/13) at PetCO in Fort Collins!
Address: 2211 S. College Ave, Fort Collins, CO
Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm

Barkley is very sweet and a little bit shy but comes out of his shell pretty quickly. He is using puppy pads really well and LOVES his crate and prefers to hide in there when strangers are around. He is about 11 weeks old and has been alone and in the shelter and foster system for the last 3 weeks, so that may be why he's a little shy. Being picked up stray at 7-8 weeks old can't be easy! He is in no way "shut down" though, and even when he runs and hides in his crate, if you go look in there is gets his tail going 100 mph. If you hold him, he will then "hide" on your lap and not leave.
Once he warms up to you, he is VERY playful and cuddly. He LOVES to give kisses and get belly rubs. He also loves his toys and blankets and pulls all of them into his crate with him.

Barkely still needs to be neutered before he can go home to his new family, but applications are being accepted now!

Barkley's adoption fee is $250. His is up to date on his shots and will be neutered and microchipped on Thursday.

All of our dogs come with 3 free days of doggy daycare at Camp Bow Wow, a coupon for $20 off a 1 hour, in-home training session with a certified dog trainer, 30 days of free pet health insurance, and $5 off at J&T Feeds in Greeley.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barkley, a Greeley Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Greeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Greeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
