My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our little man Ziggy, one of the most polite and happy boys you will ever meet. Unfortunately Ziggy has not had the best start to life, it appears that this precious little boy has been injured probably hit by a car and was never given the proper care. He has only one eye that he can see out of and his little legs are out of whack so to speak, but fortunately he is in no pain. Just kinda walks funny. But you would never know it by the way Ziggy moves and shakes.... He runs with the rest of the pack in his foster home and has no problem making his way around the house and backyard. He enjoys daily walks but that is really the extent of his need for activity. He has started to show interest in chew bones and looks at a squeaker toy but his true joy in life is snuggling with his human or other canines in his foster family. Ziggy doesn't let his handicaps keep him from enjoying life and he does that to the fullest. Always wagging his little stub of a tail and a smile that is contagious and never leaves his face. When it is feeding time he will be found doing a happy dance and singing for his meal that is sure to bring a smile to your face. He is house trained, prefers not to use the doggie door, so waits until invited to go outside. He has been the prefect house guest in his foster home and has quickly become a favorite to all that meet him.

He is so calm and easy going that he will fit into any home that promises to give him love and affection that he so deserves. His perfect home would be one with someone around most of the time and another canine friend or two. He has no issues sharing toys, bones or food and is learning how to wait his turn when treats are being handed out. He picks up quickly on the proper way to act from his foster brothers and sisters.

I can't say enough good things about this boy and know that the family that brings this bundle of love into their home will think they have won the lottery. Your days will be filled with joy and smiles with Ziggy by your side.

Are you the family that Ziggy is looking for? If so, don't waste another day apart, fill out an application today - www.azrescue.org.

Ziggy weighed 17.6 pounds when we saved him from the kill list. Ziggy has a cataract in his left eye. He cannot see out of this eye but it does not cause him any pain or require any treatment. Ziggy also appears to have been hit by a car quite sometime ago. He has old injuries to both his shoulders and back left hip. None of these injuries cause him any pain and he gets around just fine, although with a little hitch in his step! :)
