Eli's Story...
Hi, my name is Eli and I am approx. 2 years young. I am front declawed, neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FeLv. I have also been treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms. I am a very friendly boy, I love belly rubs and I love to snuggle. I do good with other cats and dogs too. I prefer a home that is calm and likes to have me snuggle up to them as they read a book or watch TV! I am so lucky to have been rescued. I was trying to survive as a stray in a busy area near a highway and people were shooting at me with bb's and chasing me. I was very scared and very hungry. But thanks to A4A, now I am happy, healthy and safe-- I'm just waiting to find a forever home to call my very own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Eli, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
